Invoice discounting solution for African SMEs in need of working capital filling the payment term gap. No need for collateral as it capitalises on the credit worthiness of the corporate purchasers ensuring invoice reconciliation and de-risking the offering.
This was an MVP that needed to be heavily stripped back to focus on onboarding, application, verification and reconciliation. As the facility was been provided by a bank, the application was constrained by the banks and requirements. Despite this, it was essential to make the facility application process quick and easy with reduced need to input information. As the product is supplier initiated, it was key to ensure purchasers would respond to the verification request.
Both the bank account and invoice discounting application became a 3-step process. Purchaser verification of invoices is at a press of a button which they only see if they verify an existing trading relationship, again this is also completed at the press of a button.
By removing duplicated and unnecessary questions, as well as rethinking the order, bank account opening questions were reduced by 30%.
